Ceridian Helps Ease the Stress of Year-End Processing

Getting assistance with company payroll, tax filing and benefits can make the difference between a successful or problematic end to your fiscal year

Minneapolis (December 16, 2008) – Ceridian Corporation, a leading provider of managed human resource, payroll outsourcing and tax filing solutions, announced today the availability of key year-end features in its HR/Payroll Latitude product. With the end of the year rapidly approaching, products like HR/Payroll Latitude, and Ceridian’s comprehensive service support help companies achieve a smooth transition into the New Year and beyond.

During December many payroll, tax and benefits professionals grow weary of consecutive twelve hour work days. Making sure the company’s HR related activities and finances are in full compliance with year-end requirements can be much more than a full time job, particularly at this time of year. Ceridian’s HR/Payroll Latitude has built-in Manage Year-end functions that automatically assist companies with many of their end of year requirements. “We’re committed to providing the best care in the industry, and offer a wide spectrum of year-end service support options,” notes Michael Shea, Ceridian’s executive vice president of service operations and quality.

Several tailored services help payroll, tax and benefits professionals skillfully manage year-end activities. “Some of those services include year-end training (classroom and Web-based), printable reference materials, a knowledge base with online reference tools, easy access to customer service analysts, and detailed coverage of new laws and regulations,” explains Paul Everett, Ceridian’s vice president of customer service.

Currently some of the most popular service programs include Web seminars and Web-based training (WBT). Web seminars are live, instructor-led classes specifically designed to assist customers with many specialized year-end functions. Some of Ceridian’s current seminars cover planning for year-end success, key W-2 employee considerations, and the year-end functionality in Ceridian’s HR/Payroll Latitude. These and other topics are offered live at numerous times from from October through mid-December. The seminars are also recorded and made available via MyCeridian, Ceridian’s customer support site. The more specialized WBTs consist of 10 to 15 minute student-paced courses that can include video clips, screen prints, and text. Ceridian’s nine current WBTs are available 24×7 via MyCeridian, and have been particularly popular this year.
