Lawson Software Names Langer Global Director of HCM Product Management
ST. PAUL, Minn. (February 25, 2008) – Lawson Software (Nasdaq: LWSN) today announced it has expanded its human capital management (HCM) leadership team with the appointment of Jennifer Langer as global director of HCM product management. Langer has more than 20 years of experience in the healthcare enterprise software industry having served in managerial and leadership positions for Oracle, PeopleSoft, Workbrain and Neoforma.[

In her new role at Lawson, Langer will oversee the development of HCM product strategy, focusing on how Lawson human capital management applications can help address healthcare providers’ specific business challenges. More than 1,100 companies use Lawson Human Capital Management applications to manage talent, automate administrative HR processes and help HR staff focus on more strategic employee initiatives. Lawson Human Capital Management applications directly support business operations to help organizations maximize workforce potential, while helping HR leaders contribute to organizational excellence.

Before Lawson, Langer was the healthcare industry executive for Workbrain leading its entry into workforce management solutions for healthcare. Previously at PeopleSoft, she was responsible for developing the company’s strategy for the healthcare market. Langer founded the PeopleSoft Healthcare Industry User Group and was active in the group for a decade. As the vice president of product strategy at Neoforma, she led development of innovative ecommerce solutions that helped lead to the company’s initial public offering of stock on NASDAQ. A Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems, Langer has also earned the recognition of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS).
