Ascentis Corporation Announces the Release of Ascentis Payroll 3.0
Enhancements include new tools and features that make payroll more intuitive and efficient.
Bellevue, Wash. (May 01, 2009) – Ascentis Corporation, a market leader in easy-to-use human resources software and online payroll services, just released its new payroll product upgrade, Ascentis Payroll 3.0. Ascentis Payroll is a Web-based payroll software system that processes payroll in real-time, ensuring 100% accuracy, flexibility and control. Real-time payroll processing means clients do not have to transmit data to a processing center, use batch uploads, or wait for batch processing or transmission windows.
Among other enhancements, this latest product upgrade offers calendar-based payroll processing, a time-saving technique that allows payroll to be scheduled in advance. “Now Ascentis Payroll software combines the power of on-demand payrolls with the convenience of pre-defined scheduled payrolls, completely eliminating the possibility of missed payrolls,” said Nicolas Cohen, director, Ascentis payroll software development. “In addition, the new ability to easily split pays and bonuses to different cost codes is an improvement that will save time and increase efficiency.”
The latest features of Ascentis Payroll 3.0 include:
Calendar-Based Payroll: Users can schedule payroll ahead of the payroll cycle on their own, saving time and making changes when necessary. Deductions and other pays can be applied to every scheduled payroll, and all payroll schedules are easily viewed in a calendar format to ensure accuracy. Off-cycle payrolls for adjustments between payroll cycles can be easily added when necessary.
Hourly Split-of-Pays: Hourly employees’ pay can be split by the same percentage even if they do not work the same number of hours each pay period. Users can select which pay codes to use in the split.
SUI State Field: For clients whose employees move around from state to state — changing their work state for income tax purposes but retaining the original state for SUI — a new field has been added to allow for greater flexibility and ease of use.
Additional enhancements include the ability to filter certain data from the HR module (such as benefits, emergency contacts and education), and greater control over the look and availability of reports.
