Ceridian Corporation Named as Finalist in 2009 Stevie
The prestigious award recognizes companies with outstanding customer support
Minneapolis (January 22, 2009) – Ceridian Corporation, a leading provider of managed human resource and payroll outsourcing solutions, was named as a finalist today in the Customer Service Department of the Year category in the third annual Stevie Awards for Sales & Customer Service.
The awards are presented by the Stevie Awards, which organizes several of the world’s leading business awards shows including the prestigious American Business Awards.
Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word “crowned,” winners will be announced during a gala banquet on Monday, February 9 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. Nominated customer service and sales executives from the U.S.A. and several other countries are expected to attend.
More than 500 entries from companies of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted to this year’s competition.. Ceridian is a Finalist in the Customer Service Department of the Year – Financial Services category.
“Being named a Finalist in the Stevie Awards for Sales & Customer Service is an important achievement,” said Michael Gallagher, president of the Stevie Awards. “It means that independent business executives have agreed that the nominee is worthy of international recognition.”
Ceridian’s nomination highlighted several new customer service efforts its customer care organization undertook over the last two years. Those efforts have provided Ceridian with extraordinary customer feedback and the ability to monitor and measure its customer service improvements. Over a one year period customer call response time was reduced by 57 percent, while customer satisfaction rose by 24 percent.
“Ceridian is especially pleased to be recognized for its outstanding level of customer service,” said Mike Shea, executive vice president, Ceridian service operations and quality. “Paul Everett and Ceridian’s customer care organization have worked hard over the last two years to create one of the finest service organizations in the industry.”
“We appreciate this recognition,” added Paul Everett, vice president of customer service. “The customer care team has worked extremely hard to create a first-class, repeatable and reliable customer service experience. Being a Stevie Award finalist confirms what our own internal measurements have been telling us. Ceridian’s already outstanding level of customer service is getting better and better.”
Members of the Awards’ Board of Distinguished Judges & Advisors and their staffs will select Stevie Award winners this week from among the Finalists. Finalists were chosen by business professionals worldwide during preliminary judging.
