Lawson Achieves HR-XML Certification for Human Capital Management Suite
Automation of HR Information Exchange Helps Reduce Integration, Costs for Lawson Customers and Their Business Partners
ST. PAUL, Minn. (January 11, 2007) – Lawson Software (Nasdaq:LWSN) today announced it has received HR-XML certification from the HR-XML Consortium for its Human Capital Management (HCM) suite. By using Lawson HCM, companies will be able to more easily automate inbound transactions – such as the transfer of payroll time record information from third-party time collection systems – and outbound transactions – such as job postings on an Internet job site.
The HR-XML Consortium is an independent, non-profit organization dedicated to the development and promotion of a standard set of specifications to automate a variety of human resources-related data exchanges. Human resource solutions, such as Lawson HCM, that conform to the HR-XML Consortium’s interoperability standards help employers and vendors minimize the expense and risk of having to establish, engineer and implement separate data interchange mechanisms.
“Becoming HR-XML certified means our customers will be able to collaborate more easily with their business partners, which is a key benefit of moving to a service-oriented architecture environment,” said Larry Dunivan, global vice president of Human Capital Management for Lawson. “Conforming to HR industry standards, such as HR-XML, ultimately simplifies the process of getting information where it’s needed to maximize workforce potential and increase productivity.”
The XML-enabled version of Lawson HCM leverages the features in ProcessFlow Integrator 9.0 and Lawson System Foundation 9.0 Service Pack 2, both of which are generally available.
“HR-XML is fast becoming the industry standard as more and more technology solution providers work to ensure their applications are able to easily send and receive standardized HR data,” said Chuck Allen, director of the HR-XML Consortium. “We congratulate Lawson for achieving HR-XML certification.”
More than 1,000 companies use Lawson Human Capital Management applications to automate administrative HR processes and help HR staff focus on more strategic, value-added employee initiatives. Lawson Human Capital Management applications provide organizations with the information they need to maximize workforce potential, while helping HR leaders contribute to organizational excellence with applications that directly support business operations.
