Pinnacle Airlines Corp. Signs Software and Services Contract with Lawson Software

Latest Lawson applications will help Pinnacle Airlines manage growth

ST. PAUL, Minn. (May 16, 2007) – Lawson Software (Nasdaq:LWSN) signed a multi-suite software and services contract with Pinnacle Airlines Corp. in Lawson’s third quarter of fiscal year 2007, which ended Feb. 28, 2007. The regional airline licensed the Lawson Enterprise Financial Management and Human Capital Management suites to support its evolving business requirements and transformation needs.

Based in Memphis, Tenn., Pinnacle Airlines Corp. is the airline holding company of Pinnacle Airlines, Inc. and Colgan Air, Inc. Together, the subsidiaries operate under partnership with Northwest Airlines as Northwest Airlink, Continental Airlines as Continental Connection, Delta Airlines as Delta Connection, United Airlines as United Express, and US Airways as US Airways Express. With the company’s acquisition of Colgan on Jan. 4, 2007, Pinnacle Airlines Corp. now has nearly 5,000 employees based throughout the United States and Canada. Each day, Pinnacle Airlines Corp. and its subsidiaries operate more than 1,000 flights, transporting more than 27,000 customers.

The Lawson Enterprise Financial Management and Human Capital Management suites will replace Pinnacle’s legacy financial and human resources systems, providing support for its expanded business model and long-term expansion plans. The consolidated Lawson applications will help Pinnacle automate business processes, enhance reporting capabilities and increase self-service among employees. For example, through Lawson Employee Self-Service, part of the Lawson Human Capital Management suite, Pinnacle employees will have convenient online access and ownership over their benefits and personal information.

“With our current system, our HR department has to manually key job applicant data into numerous disparate systems, resulting in 29 pieces of paperwork per applicant,” said Lorraine Grubbs-West, vice president of People Services for Pinnacle Airlines, Inc. “By using Lawson, we will be able to eliminate duplicate data entry, automate application processes and manage applicants electronically. As a result, we will reduce hiring costs and generally streamline our hiring processes.”

“Since 9/11, air transportation companies have been taxed with higher fuel prices and tighter profit margins,” said Jeffrey Dato, vice president of Risk Management and Information Technology for Pinnacle Airlines Corp. “Looking at Lawson’s proven track record and out-of-the-box functionality, it was evident that its products and services aligned with our long-term business objectives.”

Lawson Professional Services will provide implementation services for Pinnacle’s system roll out, which the company expects to complete mid-2008.

“Regional air transportation organizations face intense competition and need the same level of sophisticated business systems as their larger peers, but often lack financial resources,” said Robert Peterson, marketing director, Industry Markets, Lawson Software. “Our professional services and software applications will help Pinnacle Airlines optimize business processes, providing them with the scalability, flexibility and functionality they need at a low total cost of ownership.”
